The Capital was opened in July 1976 as the purpose-built headquarters for Royal Insurance. It provided the best example of a modern and efficient working environment and this legacy endures today following a substantial refurbishment in the autumn of 2011.
The completion of City Exchange in 2000 created an impressive new atrium and three-level concourse fronting Old Hall Street and Union Street. 2019 has seen further improvements made with a major refurbishment currently taking place in areas of the capital.
Security & Maintenance
The Capital offers a secure work environment, where privacy meets professionalism. The building employs 35 members of staff, all of whom keep the building secure & accessible 24 hours a day
The Capital features a SecurePark, three storey underground parking facility, complete with lifts into the building, allowing for a time efficient arrival into the workspace
A team of designers are currently working up a scheme of significant refurbishment, which will provide 5,000 Sq Ft. worth of breakout space within Exchange39.
The Capital boasts an in building coffee shop, Cinnamon, perfect for a quick coffee break, lunch or meeting area. Catering is also available upon request.
The Capital Building offers great links to transport. Access to train lines is available on Old Hall Street via Moorfields station. Multiple bus routes are also accessible via stops located on Old Hall Street.
